We have a programme of curriculum enhancement for children from Reception to Year 2 involving learning a foreign language and taking part in multi sport and aerobic exercise. Staff offer a wide range of lunchtime clubs for the children to access – Singing/Art/Construction/Story/Chess/Ocarina. We also offer after school activity clubs led by outside instructors – Fundamental Sports/Dance and Drama/Football training/Get Fit, Stay Fit, Mad Science and Bodyworks.
The children are regular visitors to the Junior School for plays, concerts, sports and transition events. All classes have made at least one educational visit out of school during the year.
Year 2 children have taken part in the St Albans Music Festival and competed in two sports festivals. The PTA is very active at Bernards Heath and provides a number of events for the children to attend – parties, craft events and fetes, including a joint summer fair with our linked junior school.
